To stop the revolving doors of recidivism in our prisons, by introducing redemption, reconciliation and re-entry to those incarcerated, so they return to society and become productive, law-abiding, tax-paying citizens.
Our strategy is to develop strong relationships with local churches, businesses and officials so they also play a part in bridging the gap to create a network of accountability, which will reduce the recidivism rate greatly. The strategy consists of focusing on transitional housing, employment and mentoring for up to one year after our participants are released.
The results speak for themselves. Hundreds of men have been assisted both inside prison and in our reentry program. The recidivism rate for men who have participated in FreshStart Visions programs is much lower than the national average.
